VT Stop Cartwall With Next

Post by henkie86 »

Hello Bernd,

The function "Stop Cartwall with Next" within the local cartwall in the VT window is not working as expected.
When i disable and enable it, it works but when i want to record the second one the cartwall doesn't stop when pushing Next and i have to disable and enable it again.
I use the local cartwall not for a jingle but a filler where my voice is on top.

Last question is more a request ;-)
I would like to see when i open the local cartwall it stays open when i start the first track, now i have to open it again and also have to click on "Talk Over" all in the last seconds of the first track.

Thanks in Advance.

I can not reproduce your first issue. When the mentioned issue is selected, a playing cartwall is stopped when you click the 'Next' recording button.
This also when you do a 2nd recording or switch to the next tracks etc.
Can you maybe describe your scenario a bit more in detail, when this happens - also, which version are you using?

The 2nd request actually was designed that way, but the UI vendor actually disabled this option in one of that recent versions (that a popup window stays open, even if you click outside that control). But I have already opened a ticket to re-enable that feature.

Hello Berd,

In my situation the cartwall doesn't stop when i click the "next" button and i have to stop it myself.
Now i click "fade out or stop" the cartwall first and then hit "next" but these are a lot of clicks ;-)

I have set the VT setup according the tutorial, create an input device (without soundcard) and route the microphone and Cartwall to this input.
This works very nice.

I am running v4.5.2.2 and Windows 11 Pro

Thanks love to see the 2nd request re-enabled again :-)

Do you experience also the same without any VST?
Can you maybe record a short video - so that I might reproduce it here... as else it will be hard to find. THX

I don't use any VST at this moment.
i find out the issue only occurs if the first track totally stops, when you hit next to start the next track the cartwall doesn't stop.
When the first track is not fully stopped the cartwall stop playing when hitting next.

Will try to make a video to show

It is now fixed in the latest v4.5.2.3 (including the local cartwall, which will now stay opened).

I have tested it, the issue with Stop Cartwall With Next is working as expected now. :-)

Only the local cartwall is still closing when clicking on my pc were i do voicetrack, i have installed PF on my laptop (with demo version) there the window stays open.
Is there maybe some setting nog right on my work pc?

Tried to reset the whole gui does not helped.

Maybe you downloaded an early version. Try to install the update again or copy the .exe from your laptop…
