I can still not reproduce the issue with the genres.
Here is a video demonstrating, that it is working here (using v3.0.15.21):

What I did:
- I placed your 2 files into a new folder (/genres)
- I created a new folder based media lib
- I selected that new folder lib in the find dialog
- First I executed a full search: "*" to display all tracks
- I added the Genre column to the result view
- Second I executed a Contains search on the Genre 'Νέο κύμα μπαλάντα'
- and it returned both tracks again - as expected

I already asked you how you are testing things, so may be you do things differently.

By the way:
The short search "e:genre" also performs a contains search - and as you said, it finds both tracks, that sounds okay.
To perform an exact equals search you must use "=e:genre".

I am using media library server. I checked Force Folder tag reading. Then I clicked rescan. It took about 30 minutes to rescan the files.
I don't know what is happening while the scan was running, but PF couldn't find any tracks and stopped playing.
I had to run PF from my backup pc until scan finished.

As I thought, the filter result is exactly the same!
So my meta data are not out of sync.
I did not test your way because we are looking why my way does not work.

I tested your way and works as you described.
The question now is why my media library gives different results.

I took a look at _synced_.pfp files. The one that is on the test folder and the one that is on my main audio files folder.
For the same title, they have different genre. I can't understand why. I rescanned my library today.

I am getting crazy. I PM you a new video. Only you can understand what is going on.

And one very important question is : is it normal when the new scan is started, the PF can not find any tracks and stops playing ?

b) probably/maybe your files are not 100% tagged correctly - I don't knoe yet - see a)
As far as I remember we once also had an issue with the MusicBee and the 'Comment' TAG, where MusicBee used multiple different languages for the comments... however, see a)

c) No, but that depends also on your I/O sub-system. Maybe during rescan your system is too busy to process other requests. I don't know.

One final wish.
I think that it is VERY important for the filter EQUALS to return tracks with any of multiple genres a file can have.
Many taggers retrieve automatically tags from internet and a file can have even 10 genres.
You understand that it's not possible in such cases to use CONTAINS and NOT CONTAINS

I am afraid that this is in any case not possible.
A) because of backward compatibility reasons, as such change would impact all uses and might break their filters and
B) because as explained various other formats do not have multiple genre items like ID3v3 has.

Solutions always exist.
A) You can post a poll on your forum and ask your users if they want such feature. It's fair I think.
I don't understand why a user would like to write a too complex filter, instead of a simple EQUALS ?
B) If other formats don't have multiple genres where is the problem ? Use the only one that exists.

Maybe you have changed your TAGs after you created the Media libs.
Thus, your initially read-in TAG data is not the same as in your physical files and your media libs needs a refresh?!
So within the Media Library Manager perform a 'Rescan' of the media libs your are testing with and then wait until ALL TAGs have been read-in again (see the red status indicator at the bottom left)...and then make the test again.
I assume your meta data is simply out of sync.

Alternatively you can perform the exact same test as I did with your 2 files you send me!
If you still got the same error, please report the exact steps you performed...

That you are using a Media Library Server is new to me - as you just mention it now
I'll retest this here again as well using a MLS - but only tomorrow, as today is Sunday!
And I for sure do NOT test MusicBees, as I am not using this Tagger!
However, please test my way as well to see, that there is no general issue with your libs.
