Searching (Find track) is verrrry slow...

Hello All,

after using a cracked Proppfrexx for over a year now i decided to buy it (pro version). This great program must be continued, so maybe my little drop helps to fill the bucket... :?

I have installed the latest version now, and discovered an annoying behaviour. Searching in the screen "Find track" is very slow, up to minutes. This was not the case in the cracked version (no i won't return ;) ). Is there some setting i've overlooked?

Kind regards,

Marcel

LoL - a copyright violation is a serious act of crime, I guess you know that! I also guess you stopped, since the crack isn't working anymore for the newer versions.
However, this has nothing to do with the cracked/regular version.
You probably have just enabled the "Force TAG reading for missing Meta Data" option in the Find window. Right-Click within the find window and select 'Options' to disable this again.
With this option enabled each track is first (re)scanned for newer TAGs, which is simply slow...the default is therefore 'disabled'.

P.S.:
Seriously check your system, as all cracks I have seen so far also contained a Russian Trojan Virus by the guys who tried to crack it...

Oooppss, no i've never tried a newer version. So the cracked version worked for me ok, i just needed more time to try out the program. i have used many programs, and after a while i knew what i want: and that was Proppfrexx! My vriusscanner didn't noticed anything, but i'm not sure if i allowed some program?? Hmmm bitdefender didn't mention a thing in this last year..?

Anyway, your solution worked !

Thanks!

(i think we will need another license because our local radio station will use Propfrexx also. For now we use RadioDJ for the automation, but we like one integrated system (for play out and non-stop/commercial planner)
