All overlays -> Gone

Hi Bernd,

At my test system it happens from time to time that all overlays are deleted. I don't do anything strange which invokes it, just shutdown and restart both PFOA play out machine and PFOA fileserver. And, to make it even better, I can do that several times without this happening.
The overlays deleted are
- commercial overlays, created by the advert pattern wizard
- news overlays, created by hand

Is there any log I can check to see if something strange has happened ?

Kind regards,

André
ps it happened with several versions, at the moment I'm running 3.0.13.5, as I've not updated yet.

Never happens here. Just once with another customer until he found out, that the reason was a defect hard disk.
ProppFrexx never deletes current or recurring overlays, just historic ones older than 90 days.

Are your overlay entries may be just historic ones - which are therefore automatically be removed, since they are not needed/used anymore.
If not, I guess something else must delete the related .calendar file.
Have you checked your hard disk for any defects?

Hi Bernd,

Little late reply, as I was on holiday for a few weeks. Yes, I did check my (virtual) HD for any defects, nothing found. It didn't happen with historic ones, it was scheduled overlays for that week and the weeks to come.
I'll keep an eye on to it and see if it happens again.

Hi Bernd,

Just one thing : i recreated the overlays, but when I have a look in the overlay schedule, they are displayed double ? It's not easy to see in the picture, but they are exactly the same.
It seems like my overlay calendar is CENSORED up, don't you think ?

Then they do exist twice in the calendar?!
what happens, if you remove/delete one of them?

then it is deleted (only one of them)
I just created some news overlays, they come 'in two' also. But, I wanted to adjust something, and, when I opened it and adjusted (mixing time, but that doesn't matter), it came back as only one overlay. Strange !

Some lines from the logfile :

14-4-2014 14:29:25: ERROR: Calendar 'H:\Advertising\Overlay.calendar' could not be read! Lock could not be aquired.

and I get a lot of warnings (from older overlays, not being played), but also a warning telling me this :

14-4-2014 15:15:36: WARNING: Scheduler-Exception:'Failed to compare two elements in the array.'!

Never seen that one before ?

It somehow looks, like the .calendar file got corrupted!
Which resulted in all the errors/messages.
Please send me your .calendar file to take a look at - may be I might be able to recover it...
Also check your hard disk - since the error must have been happened somehow...
