Unexpected start behavior of overlay

Hi Bernd,

I've got an unexpected start behavior with an overlay. I configured an overlay to be played at the bottom of the hour, containing some newsitems (scheduled with the advert news management)
The overlay has these (relevant) settings :

- Start type -> Soft
- Max Start Delay -> 120 seconds
- Allow Start Early -> Set to 'On'
- Mixing time -> 0
- Show -> 120 seconds in advance

I expect the overlay to start somewhere between within a 4 minute window around the scheduled time. And I expect the overlay to be started on the Next cue of the previous song (mixing time set to 0).
The first part : ok. But, it waits for the out cue of the song to start. I've used this setting before and it worked fine, however, not with this overlay.
Any thoughts on this one ? I can simply recreate this overlay (as it's a recurring one) to see if that will fix it, but maybe you want to have a look into it. Or I'm just doing something wrong :-)

Kind regards,

André

Yep, you are right in case of an early start situation.
This is fixed with v3.0.14.5 which I just provided...

Note: In your case you might also use a negative or positive 'Mix Time', which would define a fixed fade-out time in case of an early start.
In case of an early start AND a Next cue-point present in the current track:
Mix Time = 0: the overlay will start exactly with the Next cue-point of the current track, the current track will be played til the end.
Mix Time > 0: the overlay will start 'Mix Time' milliseconds before the Cue-Out of the current track.
Mix Time < 0: the overlay will start with the Next cue-point of the current track and directly fade out 'Mix Time' milliseconds
