As you know i have struggled with this in combination with php a long time and got it working ok.
Now i have seen there is a little problem with it in a scenario 2 tracks are started at the same time, or almost at the same time.

Problem then is that the second track in the embedded container doesn't update the script, and albumart en moderator text isn't displayed then.
When the second track is started a little later all is working correct. I think it has something to do with the time it takes to send the info to the script, but i'm not shure about it. Maybe you hav an explanation for this behaviour.

I am not sure about you scenario.
Which two tracks and why do two tracks almost update/play at the same time?
Can you please describe your scenario with more details as I do not understand your issue so far.

I start an accapella jingle, and at the same time the next song is started, so the jingle is actually an overlay on the song.

No, not fully.
Which track do you want to use to update the streaming server?!

E.g. you might simply set the 'accapella jingle' to a certain media type and then exclude this media type from the song title updates...
