Playlist rules with jingles & Music

Hi,

I use now proppfrexx for a litlle time now!, I'm very happy with this piece of software :)

I have a little question about jingles & Music in the playlist. I'm tried to explain so good as possible.

Some music files have a intro set (ramp1, ramp2) cue points were artist is gonna sing. and some don't (the sing from the start).
I have set some jingles (short music file) with a next (cue) point. (this is a fixed cue point) this is a little bit
faster than the jingle is stoped at the end or the music is ended or there are view words thats bespoken. Because this is very pretty, and with my jingles nice to hear too! Sometimes is came a long that the jingle & music mixed point is not so good too hear too because there
is a music file next too my jingle and have no ramp the sing from the start. This is not so nice, what you hear is that the artist sing and my jingle is not finished yet!.

Is there any a solution for this problem with proppfrexx, Maybe is already in Proppfrexx and I'm not found it yet.

Thanks!.Frank

Sorry!! In the wrong topic!, Bernd can you remove this too questions! Thanks!

? v3.0.6.4 is higher than v3.0.1.5 !
Where is said, that the latest version of the Meta Data Editor (Tagger) is v3.0.1.15?

The version of the Tagger is independent from ONAIR - and the latest version of the Tagger is actually v3.0.6.4.

I am not sure, if I understand your issue correctly?!

What I understand is the following:
- you have a Jingle, which has a NEXT cue-point set
- for music tracks having a certain ramp time (which might be played after that Jingle) this is good
- but, for music tracks having almost no ramp time (which might be played after that Jingle) this is not good

So you are looking for a solution to kind of 'automatically' align the Jingles NEXT cue-point dynamically based on the music file played after?!

If that is the case, there is a solution to it:
- open the general settings, go to section 'Mixing/Fading'
- click on the 'Mixing per Media Type...' button to open the specific media type mixing dialog
- select the media type of your music file in question, e.g. leave it to 'Music'
- now take a look to the 'Special Mixing Settings' group (press the '?' icon at the top right to get help...)
Here you can now specify the following:
- check the 'Limit to Ramp1' option
- check the 'Force Adjust also for Tracks having a Next Cue-Point' option

The 1st option (Limit to Ramp1) will ensure, that any segue (mixing time; which is the time between NEXT and CUE-OUT of the previous track) is limited to the RAMP1 position of the sub-sequent track.
The 2nd option (Force Adjust also for Tracks having a Next Cue-Point) will ensure, that not only tracks are aligned which doesn't have a NEXT cue-point yet set; but also any other tracks (like your Jingles; which already contain a NEXT cue-point fixed defined)!

What is now happening is the following:
A music track is about to be played after your Jingle.
The 'Limit to Ramp1' option will now make sure to adjust (modify) the NEXT cue-point of the previous track automatically!
If the current segue is already shorter than the Ramp1 time - nothing will happen.
If the current segue is longer than the Ramp1 time - the NEXT cue-point of the previous track (Jingle) will be aligned, so that that the Jingle ends with RAMP1!

I guess this is exactly what you are looking for?!

Okay, but that is just the basic setting!
Now you would also need to set a RAMP1 cue-point for all YOUR music tracks!
Even for those having almost no ramp time ;-)
In that case just set the RAMP1 cue-point quite close to the beginning (e.g. right after CUE-IN).
That's it.

Hi Bernd,

Thanks that's works for me!.
Sorry for the late answer. I was very busy!

One question: I use the lastest version of proppfrexx 14.22, If I started ProppFrexx Meta Data Editor this version is V 3.0.6.4
How can I use the Latest Version: v3.0.1.15 what is said on the website!

I once updated with the latest version of ProppFrexx Meta Data Editor but still it is version 3.0.6.4
I Updated the ProppFrexx Meta Data Editor in the mapping:

C:\Program Files (x86)\radio42\ProppFrexx ONAIR\3.0\ProppFrexx Tagger.exe
