Exception when opening News/Advert window + TimeCode doesn't work

Hi Bernd,

I've just downloaded PFOA 4.0.0.1 (x64) and I encountered two problems.

1.) There is an exception when I try to open the Advert/News Management (see attached picture). I've tried to restart/reinstall PFOA but it has not helped.

2.) Timecode window (and macros like ${cpltimecode} , ${cpltimeremainsec} ) are not refreshing and sometimes looks ugly.

Can you find out what causes these problems? Thank you! ;)

That both looks quite strange.
Unfortunately I can both not reproduce.
I also asked a few other users about the Advert issue - but it is working just fine with them.

Have you installed PF into a different and new folder?
Have you maybe installed some BASS plugins yourself?
And what OS are you using?

If nothing helps, you might try to delete the PF installation folder complexly, and the download this file manually and unzip it:

May be something messed up during the installation?

The Timecode window update looks like a graphics card driver issue.
Have you already tried to reboot your machine?

Bernd

Update: After I closed PFOA and started the Advert manager only, it has worked fine. Since that, there is no problem with the Advert Management.

I saved the config data from v3 and uninstalled PFOA v3. After that I installed the v4 to the default install folder.
Btw. I'm using W7 x64, 4GB RAM. The OS and the PFOA are running on a SSD.
If you need any other info about my PC / OS I'll provide it.

 The Timecode problem has been appearing (for me) in the v3 too. I will try to uninstall v4 and clean all folders, then reinstall it. First I check my graphic card driver and I update it if possible.

It's interesting, because sometimes the OL countdown is working fine in the Timecode window but sometimes not.
And as I wrote above, the timecode macros are not working now.

Your might also check your overall memory usage. 4GB is not really much for a x64 OS.

But I am glad, that the advert exception disappeared.
As the time code issue also appeared in the v3, I guess it must be something general.

I've tried to update all my device drivers including graphics card, sound card, chipset, usb drivers.
But unfortunately nothing has changed. Timecode still not updating with DJ players, but when I ticked the "Use with Standby Players" option in the menu, the countown has worked fine (but only with the standby players)
I know 4GB is not really much, but here is the CPU and RAM usage when PFOA running and playing music.
Bernd, I have an other strange problem with a VST plugin. Can I ask here, or should I start a new thread?

I'm using Image Line Maximus x64 VST on the microphone input channel as compressor and EQ, and on the output channel as a final compressor/limiter. While the program running, everything works fine but when I close PFOA, it crashes. I already googled it yesterday and this issue appeared with other DAW software.

As this issue also appears with other DAW software, it seems, quite evident, that this is NOT a ProppFrexx issue.
As such, I suggest you contact the vendor of that VST and file a bug there!
