scrollingproblems in the Find-window

Hello,
We use Proppfrexx 4 for a hospital in-house broadcastsystem where we broadcast a radioprogram called in German "Wunschkonzert".
We have more than 70.000 music titles on line. After we have collected about 15 requests, we start to create the playlist. This means that we have to very quickly find the requested titles. From the Beatles or Abba we have "tons" of music. In the find window we have the fields: artist, title, bitrate duration and year. When I click in title and sort the entries in alphabetical order and when I scroll down, very often when I am about halfway, the screen jumps back to the beginning. This is not very handy. I want to be able to scroll down to the very end.
Is it a setting to enable this or this there "überhaupt" a way to achieve this. I couldn't find the answer on the forum.
Thanks for your help. My fellow radio-college's will appreciate your help.
Kind regards,
Hennie E

This happens because it seems, that the TAGs of all your files haven't been read-in yet!
Thus when a new track comes into view, the TAG data needs to be read-in than at least (to give you a correct result), but that update might actually change the sort order!
So in order to resolve this issue, make sure, that the TAG data has been completely read-in.
E.g. when you use a single folder based lib, make sure it is rescanned completely.
The red status indicator at the bottom left of the main screen might tell you, that TAG reading is still in progress.
For 70.000 files, this might take various minutes up to a couple o hours depending on the speed of your IO system!
In the mean time (until the tag reading hasn't finished), don't use sorting in the Find window!
But simply type in your search text into find text box and press enter...
E.g. type 'Abba' to 'Beatles' ...
The search text by default will be serach anywhere in the Title and Artist values...
You can also make a right-click or press on the options icon in the find window to set various other search options...
But once all TAGs have been read-in - you can sort as you like...

Thanks Bernd for your prompt reply, but I don't think this is the solution for my problem
This is the actual situation:
Proppfrexx is running on a very fast Windows 7 pc
The music-files are stored on a very fast server in the hospital and all files are located in a directory called ORVA with subdirectories like German, French, Instrumental etc. and per subdirectory we have sub-subdirectories per artist. So tree-organized
Once the pc is connected to the network, we start up Proppfrexx.
Immediately after that, we see the red spot in the left-down corner stating that the media libray is not ready.
After a couple of minutes, we get the message "Ready".
That is the moment we start preparing the radio-broadcast by opening the library ORVA and we start up the find actions to fill the playlist. At that moment we have the problem as described above. I personally take care of the tagging and beside the filename which is build up as "artist - title" every tag also includes artist, title and year.
I hope to read from you soon.
Kind regards
HennieE

The 'Ready' does come once all media libs are read in - but the TAG reading might still be in progress.
I am not sure of course, but that is the only logical explanation.
What does the dialog show
It also depends a bit on your other Meta Data settings in the general setting, but if you left all by default, this should not happen...
Did you change those default settings here?
Did you set the 'Force TAG reading for missing Meta Data' option in the Find Window option?
However, here is a video, which demo's, that the scrolling is working, if all TAGs are read in:

If it really still happens with you and you are sure, that all TAGs are read in, we might do a TeamViewer session by tomorrow if you want?

Hello Bernd,
Once again thanks for the prompt reply.
Our system administrator thinks that it could be caused by refreshing the cache and that Proppfrexx whilst scrolling is looking for new info.
He thinks it could be a bug. Nevertheless, I like your idea of a Teamviewer session to see what really happens and what causes the problem.
I will give you my contact details per personal mail and we can then communicate the results of our teamviewer session with the forum community.
Have a nice day and thanks for your support so far.

It is for sure not a bug. As seen in the video it will work once all tags are read in.
We do the TV session to take a look.
