Hi Bernd,

the last couple of weeks a problem is keep getting back again.

Our commercials are loaded/shown in advance at xx.50.00.
And news is loaded/shown in advance at xx.56.55, so the overlays are combined.

But when is actually has to playout the overlay, the window is getting closed and it wil play noting.
The next hour if the overlay player want to load the commercials, it is shown but stuck!!
Nothing happened again en it stays stuck until reboot.

7:58.50 is the actual starting time, but it closed instead.
What is happening

We are using version 3.0.15.20.

I don't think a soundcard issue, because normal program is resumed after closing overlay player.
Problem occurred twice in the last 3 weeks. Before, never had that problem for about a year.
Only changed the 3rd overlay and is not always containing audio now. Maybe could that give a problem?

So first overlay: commercials is always containing audio
Second overlay: News also containing audio
Third overlay: is NOT containing every hour audio (in this case also)

The overlay also executed al commands I use.
e.g. the recording is started after the overlay player closed. (that's good)

So for some reason the overlay player starts and immediatly closes.
And the next hour it does nothing, it gets stuck at the beginning of the 'show in advanced time'.
(Windows opens but time keeps hanging at 10 minutes)
Problems are solved is Proppfrexx is restarted not the pc.

It is running now for a while again and checked the debug log and now everything is working and processed well.
All overlays are loaded and it is playing, also the same adverts.

Looks like a random fault?
Also send you the overlay.calender file

From what I am seeing here (in my code) an empty overlay should not create an issue.
But you might remove it temporarily to see, if that is causing an issue.
You might also upgrade to v3.0.15.21 to see if that fixes the issue already.

So please send me your 'Overlay.calendar' file (which is contained in your Advert Storage Path) - to take a look at the new 3rd overlay you added to double-check, if any timing issue might cause this issue.

Did the update already this morning and I sure will remove the empty overlay to see if that is the issue.

What version are you using?
You say a problem is coming back? I am not sure what the problem was back in the days, but it indicates, that it was working fine for quite some time...so, what did you change since then?

When you say all is fine again after you restarted the PC... could it be, that the soundcard had an issue?
I am not sure, but was that also the case last time?

And one more question - as you are writing about 2 parallel overlays, but in the log it looks more like 3 parallel overlays:
Reclame+News+Reclame !?

Can you also please send me your 'Overlay.calendar' file (which is contained in your Advert Storage Path).

The problem did not happen again so far.
But the time between first and second issue occurrence was about 3 weeks. So it was very random.
But maybe it is solved due to the update and I have removed all empty overlays so they all are containing audio now.

I did some tests here (with your overlay calendar), but so far I could not reproduce that issue. So it is either being solved in the latest version. Did the problem ever happen again on your side since the last update?
