Maybe this is not a question for this site, but I give it a try.

I connected my old midicontroll, Novation LaunchControl, and it will not work with commandos. It's the command that I had on my other controll.

EXEC_COMMAND2 ${autoplay}|Equals(1)|EXEC_SEND_MIDI2_SHORTMSG 0x8E|0|0x1C|58

That's one of the codes and i can't see anything wrong in it and it should work, and works great on the other one.

So you want to send a midi message to the controller at midi port 2?!
You are sure that you have configured all the parameters correctly for the midi2 output device?
And you are sure that you launchcontrol is able to receive such message.

However if this is working fine with another midi controller I would suspect, that this controller cannot receive it somehow.

Are receiving midi messages are working with the old launchcontrol?

The new one is connected to midi port 1 and the old one is connected to port 2. Is that wrong?

Yes, it's the same series like the LaunchPad so it should work great togheter.

If you configured everything correctly with resp. to the MIDI 2 device settings and it is also enabled...it should work, except your old device is not supporting the receiving/handling of the given midi short message!

But you did not answer my question:
Are receiving midi messages working with the old LaunchControl on the MIDI 2 device?
(if that is not the case, I assume you have not setup your midi 2 device correctly)

Any News or should I consider this closed?!
