Add a "Auto TimeUpdateSync" program start type, with the same behaviour as the "Auto" start type, but for Time Update Sync:

• When auto-play is on, perform a "Soft TimeUpdateSync"

• When auto-play is off, perform a "Manual TimeUpdateSync"

This way, for example, a live interview is not suddenly interrupted by autoplay at the start of a new program, which is the case with start type "Soft TimeUpdateSync".

I will take a look... maybe an "Auto TimeUpdateSync" can be added, which will be evaluated also at the time when the show in advance time is due. So it will be evaluated at the same time when the "Manual" start time is due.

Yes indeed! When in Autoplay the same behaviour is used than the "Soft TimeUpdateSync". When autoplay is off, the playlist will still advance to the correct time in time, but it will not turn autoplay back on, it will wait for the user to do so.

A new beta version v4.3.6.2-beta is available which adds this new program start type.
Please use the "Check for Beta Version..." feature to update...

I tested this out but autoplay is still automatically turned on after the TimeUpdateSync is performed (and autoplay was previously off). It should perform the advance action of the playlist but if autoplay is off it should remain off after the advancing.

When autoplay is on before the TimeUpdateSync, things work as expected.

In my tests this did. actually not happen.
Note, that AutoPlay needs to be off at the time the TUS is resolved (not due).
The AutoTUS will then either be resolved to a SoftTUS or ManualTUS.

Ah that is why, makes sense in that case, but may be confusing to the DJs, if they want to do a last minute short intervention before the TOTH and autoplay suddenly starts because it was on a minute earlier.

Maybe a TUS that is resolved at due time would be possible instead? I don’t know if it is easy to implement. If not we will go forward with this solution.

No, this is not possible and this is the exact same behavior and logic like for the normal Auto Start type. Here, the Auto is also resolved to either Soft or Manual when the program is shown and not when it effectively started.
Ie. if you want a tighter setting, just reduce the ‚Show in advance‘ time.

Makes sense! In that case we will lower the show advance timing and use it as it is right now.
