Is it possible to assign each standby player to a separate mixer channel? Now all standby players go to the same mixer channel.

Yes.
When you make a right-click on the Standby-Players name (resp. number) you can select in the context menu the item 'Output Device'.
Here you can select an indivídual mixer output channel for that Standby-Player.
