Export reports into Excel

Hi
I've run a report using the statistics module which I need to import into Excel. When I export from PF with the .txt format all of the data is squeezed vertically in 1 column instead of horizontally with column headers for each datatype. Is this a Proppfrexx export thing or an excel formatting thing?

It is an excel thing.
But you can directly export reports to excel, eg. a csc or xls format.
It you might need to convert text into columns in excel.

Ok,
Will figure it out - I don't have .csc or xls as format types in my export options.

Please send a screenshot where exactly you are. The export is in the print preview window…

What, if you select the ‚Export‘ function from the ribbon tab at the top…

Yes, when I select 'export' from the ribbon I get what's showing in the 2nd screenshot. A lot of save as type options that doesn't include excel

Just wondering if there is anything further on this? I have only been able to export data into a 641 page Word doc which is crashing my machine. The single column excel file (opened from a .txt export of the report) runs to 82,000 rows as all the data formats in one column. If a .xls export option exists can you advise how to access it?

Sorry for the late response. Now I guess where you are....
The SNAP REPORT DESIGNER has no "Export to Excel" function - as it is a report (like a PDF document) - but no data.
The PIVOT GRID resp. the TABLE GRID however has such function:
Alternatively you can directly use the STAT file itself (which you open anyhow in the first step) and import that into Excel. As this file is in CSV format. A format which is well understood by Excel.
In fact the Statistic App just 'formats' and 'groups' this data differently.
So if you want the data in Excel - just use these CSV files (the .stat files) and use them directly in Excel!

Hi Bernd
Thanks for that follow-up.
I'm using excel to manage the stat files currently.
Quick question, I note that it is not possible to obtain TTSL (Total Time Spent Listening) data. Presumably this is because I'm using an external encoder (?) but if I used the Proppfrexx Streaming Server would that stat be available?
