Once I have loaded a playlist for a show, and say I have accidentally hit a 'sort by' on another column, how do I return the playlist to the order
I saved it at without having to reload it in, especially say if I am halfway through a live playlist that is in auto mode?

Use either the 'Miscellaneous' ribbon tab and click on the 'Clear Sorting' button ...or... right-click and select 'Miscellaneous - Sort - Clear Sorting' from the context menu ...or... click on the column Header button of the playlist, which is the top-most left column-header square.
