MetaData Editor request.

Post by Erris »

Hi Bernd,

I use MetaData editor of ProppFrexx, but when i have a shitload of directory's i need to expand them per piece.

It would be easy to use expand all so that selecting music files would be easy, if you want to mass change something.

Expand All is of course possible in the Tagger application, see the context menu.
Else you could also use ProppFrexx, create a new and empty playlist, drag and drop all folders (or the root folder) to that playlist; enable Direct TAG editing in the ribbon tab - and edit like as in the Tagger app.
Once done, disable Direct TAG editing to save all changes.
You can use the column chooser to add all fields you need/want to edit in the playlist view…

Ahh, now I see your issue - I will add a shortcut and extra menu items for it in a next version!

A new v4.4.1.7 is available (also for the Tagger).
First you can now hold the shift-key to display the build in xpand/Collaps menu.

Else, it adds two new Expand/Collaps menues in the context menu.
1. on the root level - effective for the entire view
2. in the 'Selection' sub-menu for all selected nodes ! (key combo Alt+X resp. Strg+X)

Note, that you might need to disable the 'Auto Collaps' option in the main ribbon to have it really applied for all nodes!
