Re: music sorting
Hi,
What do you mean by correct way to load a database?
ProppFrexx doesn’t use any database, but keeps all tracks in memory including their meta data.
And what do you mean by sorting?
Or are you asking how to organize your music in media libraries within ProppFrexx?
If yes, there is no ‚standard‘ or recommended way.
Some create a media library per year. Some per Genre and some my popularity. Others even keep the same physical track within multiple playlists (or media library).
In the end it doesn’t really matter how you structure them on your hard disk, as you can still filter and group them via its meta data, which is always directly read and written to your audio file‘s TAG data.
The main thing you first need to first understand is the difference between a folder based media library (which takes all tracks underneath a certain folder incl. all sub-folders and uses them as a media library).
And a playlist based media library (which is logically reference any physical track in a kind of logical list).
This allows you to organize your tracks in the way you prefer and fits your needs.
Unwound however avoid copying tracks around, as this would break the references to the tracks within you libraries.
