Remote Media Libary server only view
Is there a way i can see the Remote media Folder also in my explorer box view and not only in the Find box
Re: Remote Media Libary server only view
No, not directly. The media library is a media library and not a folder.
But you can of course also open the folder in your explorer (if you are talking about a folder based media library) - eg. use the unc path to navigate to that folder and you can browse it in the explorer.
So I could also have answered yes

Re: Remote Media Libary server only view
i dont understand we have a windows vps running there a 10k files of music we connect via add remote so that is only then the find box and not the Explorer box?
Re: Remote Media Libary server only view
Yes, that is correct.
Because the Find window is there to find any track in any or a specific media library.
A media library (including remote) could be anything. A folder based collection or a playlist based collection of tracks.
The Explorer window shows folders (like the regular windows explorer), its files and sub-folders.
Ie. here you can display local or remote folders.
As you can see, you can not display a media library as a folder - as it might not be a folder.
As you notice, folders (Explorer) are not the same as media libraries (Find).
The Media Library Server (MLS) is actually an external application, which allows you to keep all media entries (of any media library) outside of ProppFrexx OnAir (PFOA), even on a remote machine. However, the functionality is almost the same as if you would organize those media libs inside of PFOA.
Ie. you must use either the Find Window or open the Media Library (also remote ones) directly as a playlist in PFOA to see its entries. As a media library is a collection of tracks (and not a folder).
The exception you might get confused with is, that a media library might be a folder based playlist.
And if that remote folder based playlist for example is accessible in PFOA via \\servername\path\ you might also view this folder path in the Explorer window.
Note, that you can create multiple paths/views in the Explorer window of PFOA.
Eg. One could point to C:\Music and another one might point \\YourServername\MoreMusic

Re: Remote Media Libary server only view
You need the Enterprise Edition, then you have to enable the TCP Remote setting in the general settings and then you can setup your RCM clients.
If you still have issue check your ports, your firewall and network.
