GPIO Client keepts prompting wrong password

Post by ykracht »

After updating to the latest version (with the retyping of all the passwords in the GPIO Client already done), I'm being prompted that the password of the TCP server is incorrect. When I reenter the password manually it connects, but when closing and reopening it's incorrect again and.

Unfortunately I can not reproduce that issue.
Is your GPIO client running on the same machine/install folder or on a different machine? Have you also updated that GPIO instance?

Please check, that the password is correctly saved to the ProppFrexx GPIOClient.config file.
(in C:\Users\bernd\AppData\Roaming\radio42\ProppFrexx GPIOClient\4.0) - the password is actually encrypted in that config file, but you can validate, that a new password is saved via the file modification data and its changed content. From what you describe, it sounds the password could not be saved to that file.

Very strange,

I reset to the default password and suddenly stays connected, had the GPIOClient.config file open in notepad++ when I tried, and when I closed the GPIO client it did notice me the file was changed and password updated (it also matched the encrypted password in the ProppFrexx config file)
