Explorer, content of _synced_.pfp

Hi Bernd

We were looking for the reason why a certain jingle wasn't played. We saw in de explorer that the age last played is 739.745.



The file plays without a problem via the PFL Player.

We checked the _synced_.pfp file in that directory and the audiofile is correctly added to the file.

However, when we display the info in the explorer for this _synced_.pfp file we see different information (as if there was "wat er gebeurt hoor je hier" in the artist metadata in the file.



In the entrystat we also see "wat er gebeurt hoor je hier" added

Do you see a reason why this file isn't played?

But the entry stat say, that it is played 41 times? Last time yesterday!!??
Why do you say, that it was never played?

Maybe your meta data is set incorrectly? Resp. a second track is using the same?

Note, that the entrystat is using the uppercase trackname as the unique identifier (ie. artist - title) and this is exactly what is written to the _synced_.pfp file ass well as to the entrystat.

Also note, that „wat er gebeurt hoor je hier“ is the Artist value but is also contained in the title again (so twice).

So what is wrong here? I don’t spot it. It is all correct.
How do you validate, that this track is never played? The entrystat tells something different.

I can not analyse it from here (and I am currently on holiday)- but the display in the explorer might be misleading- but I can not see the reason why.

The problem is that in the explorer the jingle has no age last played. So it gives the impression that the jingle is not played.

Our program director mainly uses the explorer to check if everything is correctly played.

In the metadata of the file there is nothing in the artist-field, so I didn't expect to see "wat er gebeurt hoor je hier" in the entrystats.

I just tested your file and a related folder based media resp. cartwall lib.
However, I can not reproduce your issue. I played the Jingle and it showed the right age (0 days).

So please try to Rescan the library and make sure you do't use any any .pfmd files to avoid inconsistant meta data.
