ProppFrexx – Save Tags not working for jingles (1,900 songs and 5 jingles)
ProppFrexx – Save Tags not working for jingles (1,900 songs and 5 jingles)
Hello everyone,
I'm currently using ProppFrexx Radio42 for my online radio station, Radio Tijdreis.
My music library contains approximately 1,900 songs and 5 jingles.
I'm experiencing an issue with saving the metadata of my jingles.
When I manually edit a jingle title, for example "Tijdreis 5A", it initially appears correctly in the playlist.
However, even after using "Save Tags", the changes are not saved permanently.
As soon as I select "Re-Read Tags", the title becomes blank again.
My questions are:
Why doesn't "Save Tags" permanently save the jingle title?
Why does "Re-Read Tags" clear the title, even after saving?
Is there a specific setting required to save jingle metadata permanently?
Could this issue be related to the file format or media library settings?
I've attached two screenshots showing the problem.
You can listen to my radio station here:
TuneIn:

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Johnny

When Re-Read returns previous meta data, this means, the TAGs are not saved properly. Are you using .pfmd files as well?
If not, pls send me a sample audio file to look at. Maybe the file structure is corrupt and the meta data can not be saved properly?!

Also note, that when changing audio files you might also need to rescan the resp. Library. Have you done that?
Or you need to open the related media/cartwall lib (in the playlist
Windows) and then change the file from there! That edits the library directly.

That depends on your background music. This can not be answered in general. Sometimes -10db is good, sometimes -18db.
You have to experiment yourself a bit.
