Recording stopped after login new DJ
Recording stopped after login new DJ
Hi all,
All live programs recording we at the moment and we publish it on our website. For this I use at the start of a program the following command:
However, after logging a DJ and the program has already started, the recording stops. How to prevent that after login/logout the recording continues.
Kind Regard,

Re: Recording stopped after login new DJ
Mmm, can it give any problem's:
Program 1 starts at 08:00:00 stops at 09:00:00
Program 2 starts at 09:00:00 stops at 10:00:00
Both programs are recorded.
I will test it this evening again.

Sure, when you issue a MIXER_INPUT_REC_ON command and a previous recording is still running on that mixer-input-channel, that previous one will automatically be stopped first before the new recording is started.

Re: Recording stopped after login new DJ
Actually I can not reproduce that issue here!
Also looking at the code, I can not see anything, that would stop a recording with a user login/logoff (guess you mean the ProppFrexx related login/logoff with the UAC feature and NOT the windows login!).
So there are only the following possibilities:
- you might have used another command to stop the recording, e.g. with the OnUserLogoff, OnUserChanging, OnUserLogin events?
- you are using an automatic sensing mode with the recording by default?
- the user manually stops the recording by clicking on the 'REC' button
So could it be, that you using one of the commands (MIXER_INPUT_REC_OFF, MIXER_INPUT_REC_ON, MIXER_INPUT_REC_TOGGLE) anywhere else than in your start of the program event?

Re: Recording stopped after login new DJ
Okay, i have check t it. But it has nothing to do with User Login and out. But still the problem. In a screenshot as file attached is how i start and stop the recording. The first program is recording good, also complete the 2 hours, but the program after it only for a minute. You can see it online on our website that the first show of "Woensdag" and the first one of "Donderdag" recorded as wel. http://www.radioaaenhunze.com/index.php ... -luisteren
Can i find in ProppFrexx some Log files, where i can find maybe the problem?

Re: Recording stopped after login new DJ
I guess I see your issue
The 'On Program Starting' event of a subsequent program is triggered BEFORE the 'On Program Stopped' event is triggered for the previous program.
(which is quite obvious, as the new program is shown in advance while the previous program is still running - as such the new program is already starting while the currently running program will stops after it).
And therefore the MIXER_INPUT_REC_ON command (of the next program is trigged first) and a new recording is started.
But the current/previous program is stopped after that and as such any recording is stopped.
The delta is roughly the 'show in advance time' for that program...so all works as expected and as designed...
As explained above, the MIXER_INPUT_REC_ON command will automatically stop if a previous recording is still running at that time.
So in your case you can simply remove the MIXER_INPUT_REC_OFF command from the 'On Program Stopped' event!
So that you only issue a MIXER_INPUT_REC_ON command with each 'On Program Starting' event.
You might optionally add a MIXER_INPUT_REC_OFF to the global 'Scheduler.OnSchedulerStop' event.
