New program disables Auto Play

It's not always happening but sometimes when a new program is about to start, it loads the new playlist and stops playback. I see then, that the Auto Play is disabled ?
What am I doing wrong ?
What setting causes that ?

Yes. It's happening that time. But not always. I have let it running without touching anything. Sometimes it continues to the next program, sometimes it stops. I can't understand why. (The start type of the program is Auto).

Where does it disable AutoPlay (on the new playlist window or the old)?

AutoPlay is of course disabled with the current (old) playlist window, as this relates to the Program to be stopped.

When the Program Scheduler launches a new playlist window this is at first opened with AutoPlay disabled (as it is shown a bit in advance).
However, when the effective start time is due, AutoPlay is by default enabled at that point for this new playlist window.
But there are a few exception when AutoPlay is not enabled:
a) the program has a "StartType=Manual" (see Note* below)
b) a User has manually clicked on the "No AutoStart Next Program" ribbon button
c) the Program Scheduler has just been stopped at that time (and you haven't specified the 'DontStopAutoPlay' Scheduler Stop option)
d) an Overlay is playing in parallel (see Note** below)
e) you just started the Scheduler manually and have set the 'SupressAutoPlayForCurrentProgram' Scheduler Start option

In most cases I assume it is related to a) or d).

*Note:
The StartType=Auto might also be resolved to StartType=Manual in case the current (old) playlist has AutoPlay disabled at that time.
This might for example also be the case, if you manually disabled AutoPlay OR any other parallel action disabled AutoPlay for the current (old) playlist (e.g. a parallel Overlay or MODStream)!

Then it is the Note* remark, which is causing you the trouble!

In your case an Overlay disabled AutoPlay and as such the StartType=Auto will resolve to a Manual start type - which in turn doesn't automatically start the playlist!

To resolve your issue - you should specify StartType=Soft instead with your program!

Note, that a User/DJ can still use the "No AutoStart Next Program" ribbon button if he want to toggle to manual.

I 've set all my programs to StartType=Soft but still have the same problem.
Do I have to set also the overlays to be Soft instead of Auto ?

What if there are more overlays running in parallel and have different start types ?

Typically only the first overlay defines the start type.
(as the sub-sequent overlays doesn't really matter anymore, as they are due anyhow and just waiting for the previous to finish)

However, the start type is not so important, but more the 'Suspend Program' option of the last overlay entry being played!
Since an overlay will only resume the program/playlist if this option is set!

By default, that should not directly related, except you have multiple overlays almost running in parallel.
Since as explained above, any overlay running in parallel when a new program is about to start prevents that program/playlist from starting automatically (which is of course needed, as otherwise the new program/playlist and the overlay would play in parallel).
As such when the overlay finishes it should automatically resume any 'paused' playlist.
However, if an Overlay also resolved to 'Manual' - then the playlist will also 'resume' manually...so yes, when multiple overlays are playing in parallel I would also suggest to set these to either Fixed or Soft.
