Unable to stream
Unable to stream
Hello,
I'm evaluating the ProppFrexx demo version in possible replacement for our current StationPlaylist setup we currently use.
There are a lot of features I like in ProppFrexx however, so far, I've been unable to set it up properly in order to stream something to our shoutcast server while it works perfectly well with StationPlaylist so I wonder, I may have missed something obvious.
So far I've set up the MP3 encoder with Lame and with this CBR string:
-q${quality} -b128 ${input} ${output}
I'm using the "Streaming at 128kbps" as encoder profile with MP3 constant bitrate.
I've set up the correct parameters (same as in StationPlaylist) in the network streaming server I've added.
But I always get the same error:
"Encoder not active or a connection to the server could not be established!"
Any idea on what should I do to correct the situation ?
Thanks!
Guy.

Re: Unable to stream
Ok, my bad...
I was setting the station name in the field "Stream ID"..
By leaving this field empty, it now works.
Sorry for the noise.
Cheers,
Guy.

Re: Unable to stream
No issue!
Note, that the field "Stream ID" is use for SHOUTcast v2 servers (as such, if provided it tried ti connect using the SHOUTcast v2 protocol instead of the v1 protocol).
