During manual DJ show autoplay turns automatic on...

Post by XTended »

Hi Bernd,

A question of some of my radio colleagues: during their show the function Autoplay turns automatic on.
They said they didn't push the Autoplay button...
It is a show without a script, completely manual.
We use the latest stable version including your hot fix.

That is not really possible, except the following happened:

The only places where 'AutoPlay' is turned on automatically is:
  • when a new program is started (but that would only effect the newly created playlist)
  • when an overlay finished (but that would only resume a suspended playlist which was started by the scheduler beforehand, which seems not to be true in your case either)
  • Silence Detection was enabled and was triggered and had the AutoPlay option enabled
  • you have specified a control-command with a track which triggered AutoPlay
  • you have set the 'StartAutoPlay' options with a track
  • the TalkUser function was released, had the Suspend option set and AutoPlay was active beforehand
Else than that it is not possible.
May be someone accidentally pressed the F4 key?

Yesterday, 30 minutes before my own show it happened again.
Autoplay was off and when the dj started to speak autoplay went on.
I shall look to the TalkUser function...

Yes, check your TalkUser settings (incl. the control-commands assigned to it).
AND also check your Silence Detection settings and assigned commands!
