Something strange with loading player
Just received the following message of our people who doing a radioshow right now.
He said he created a playlist and the player was loading but nothing happened.
The message on the player screen was saying "loading", but nothing happened.
Than he removed that new playlist and made another. Than it was working good.
Strange isn't it?
We use the latest update of PFOA.
Update: Monday 26. May
This morning it happened again and now I could capture the screen, look what happened..
Both players are loading and nothing happened on air, enjoy the silence....

Re: Something strange with loading player
That is quite strange.
Can you take a look at your system resources...are they may be exhausted at that time.
Since the only possibility I see is an almost out-of-memory exception.
As when the state you describe here (LOADING is already shown, but nothing else is happening) can only happen, when the loading is effectively not really happening due to the system waiting on a free resource.
When a track is loaded I first change the display state to 'LOADING' and then a new thread is started to perform the effective loading of the track.
And it looks like this is (to whatever reason) not happening.
And the only logical reason I can think of (why this thread is not starting) is an out-of-memory situation.
Else you might enable the "Debug-Logging" option (see general settings, section 'More Stuff') to get more details, if that happens again.
Note, that you must enable the "Debug-Logging" option manually each time you start ProppFrexx.

Re: Something strange with loading player
Out of memory with 16 GB RAM nothing strange to see in the Windows 7 Pro 64-bit logs...
I just enabled the debug-logging. Sit and wait.
One point: after upgrading to this version we have this loading error.
Maybe it's a coincidence, but it's very strange.
Maybe downgrading to the previous version.

Re: Something strange with loading player
Note, that ProppFrexx is a 32bit application!
So a 3GB memory limit will be hit earlier...
However, there was nothing changed in the latest v3.0.13.24 with respect to loading tracks.
Have you enabled all BASS add-ons in the general settings (section General/Audio)?
If yes, please deselect all unneeded, e.g. MusePack, Speeks, AC3, TTA etc.
