We have been having a problem for some time and despite trying different things, we are still unable to figure out the solution.

A few times during the week, we have two scripts playing at the same time. It is never occurring at the same time of a particular script, which makes our research of the problem difficult.

Here are the changes we have already performed in the "scheduler setting":

- We have checked the option "stop immediately" and "close after stop" option in the scheduler stop option

- We have unchecked the "continuous mode"

- We have put the value 0 to the programming mix time option

- We have put 60 seconds for Program Start Time option

- We have put 480 for the Max Program delay option and Max Remaining option

In the program editor:

- We have set the "start type" option to soft

- We have set the "maximum delay" option to 480 seconds

- We have set the "mixing time" option to 0 second

- After certain programs that have variable duration which falls in the category "overlay one cycle" , we check the "Allow Start Early" box

Also, we have noted that the Overlay option changes sometimes from "No overlay" to "Overlay at end time"

I hope those indications will help you understand the mistakes we make that causes this overlapping problem. Thank you very much for your help!

Can you please tell me what Version of ProppFrexx you are using (v3.0.11.x, v3.0.12.x or v3.0.13.x ?) and what Edition of ProppFrexx (Basic, Enterprise...?) - as I can not seem to find you as a registered user.
Are you using the latest v3.0.13.24 ?

When you say "it sometimes changes from 'No overlay' to 'Overlay at end time'" then please note, that subsequent program scheduler entries should not overlay.
Also there is no 'Overlay at end time' existing? Or do you mean 'Overlay End Time Soft'?
If you define or edit a 2nd program scheduler entry which overlaps (see start and end time) with an already existing program entry, its type will automatically be changed to an overlay type!

Note, that a program entry defined as an overlay type might actually play/run in parallel.

Hello, we use the latest version of Proppfrexx. I believe we use the entreprise edition. I think the reason you cannot find us is because I registered with a different e mail address that no longer exists. My e mail was [email protected]. We have been in contact many times via e-mail three years ago when we were just starting using the software (and you have been very very helpful, I might add!).

Yes, we made a mistake, we meant "overlay at end time fixed".

Our problem seems to start at the end of the last track of the current script. Then the new script starts, but the first one doesn't stop. Is it possible that it is the cause of our problem and how to fix it. Thank you!

I am afraid I can not really follow what the real problem/issue is.
As you start a new program, a new playlist window will open.
Do you say, that these two playlists then play in parallel?
If yes, can you please end me the exact to program scheduler entries involved (a screenshot of the 2 scheduler config entries are fine) and the two related scripts...

I general you might have changed a few entries in the settings which might be unrelated. E.g.
- Continous Mode should be checked in your case I assume (as you don't want to have breaks in between)
- The 'Scheduler Stop Options' are only used when you stop the scheduler, but doesn't affect individual programs being scheduled

Then make sure, that ALL your program scheduler entries are by default set to 'No Overlay'!

Can you then explain why and for what reason you want to define a program as an overlay?

I just tried the following here:
- I defined 2 program scheduler entries
- a) one running from 09:00:00 til 17:00:00, No Overlay
- b) one running from 11:30:00 til 12:00:00, Overlay End Time Fixed
Both where started and stopped as expected...
So I currently can not reproduce your issue here.
