File modification date - replaygain
File modification date - replaygain
I 've noticed that most of my files have a changed modification date to the latest play datetime.
I think that it's the replaygain tag that is saved to file's tag.
But I have set ReplayGain Mode to Normalization only.
What was the Default and Max replaygain values because I have changed them ? (or better what values do you suggest ?)
And changing those values, are different data saved to meta data ? If so, how can I restore them back to default values ?
(note that the Hint in "Auto ReplayGain Calculation" is the same to "Use ReplayGain in ACPD")
Question : Is your RG calculation uses EBU-R128 / ITU-1770 standard ?

Re: File modification date - replaygain
The 'Max.' ReplayGain value remembers the maximum ReplayGain value so far determined (and is only used in case of the 'Dynamic ReplayGain' mode; to adjust the effective replay gain relative to this value instead of 0 dB).
The 'Default' value defines the ReplayGain value to use in case a track has no ReplayGain value defined (nor calculated); thus it is the assumed default value (the suggested value is -6 dB).
A ReplayGain value is either calculated manually or if the 'Automatic ReplayGain calculation' option is enabled.
E.g. even if you specified the 'Normalization' mode only (which doesn't effectively use any ReplayGain attenuation) BUT have turned on 'Automatic ReplayGain calculation'; a ReplayGain value might be calculated in case an audio file doesn't contain one yet.
Thanks for the tool tip info - will be corrected in the next version!
