mixing time
mixing time
Bernd, I 've noticed that in v .26 the overlay mixing is not always done at the "next" time of the previous song.
I 've changed the "Mixing time" at all my overlays at 0 secs.
But if an overlay starts earlier it mixes at "cue out" of the previous song instead of "next" time.
How can I change this to always start at "next" time ?

Re: mixing time
I just made a quick test here, but here an early overlay started with the next cue-point of the current track.
So how are you testing things and what are your exact overlay settings...

I am not testing anything. So how are you testing things and what are your exact overlay settings...
I 've let my program playing, but when the overlay has to start early, it starts at cue out.
Those are my settings:
Re: mixing time
And did those current tracks have a Next cue-point set?
If yes, what time difference is between the Next cue-point and the CueOut cue-point?

Re: mixing time
The tracks do not have cue-point set. It's auto calculated when they are loaded.
Re: mixing time
So they have cue-points when they play...!
The reason why I am asking is, that maybe they are so close together, that you didn't really notice the difference?
E.g. at the Next cue-point the currently playing track fades out...and the overlay start...but right after CueOut is already reached...

Re: mixing time
I 've checked what you say, but no. The overlay starts at cue out. I 've noticed that this happens only when the overlay starts early.
Re: mixing time
That's a bit strange - as in my quick test here it started with the Next cue-point; but I will double check this!

Re: mixing time
After a bit more testing, I noticed, that in the mentioned 'start early' case the immediate fade-out starts at the Next position; but then the effective start of the playback starts a bit later; so that it might look like it starts at cue out.
And yes, this is not fully consistent and thus correct; as the playback should effectively start with the Next position.
So I'll correct that and post an update by tomorrow I guess.

Re: mixing time
v3.0.14.27 now optimized the 'Mixing Time' handling accordingly.
