All might be true...might!
You have tested radio automation systems for over 26 years (you even told me, that you have once developed your own) great!, but...ALL those systems seemed to be NOT good enough or why did you choose ProppFrexx?
Yes, you made some feature requests...and most of them have been implemented within days! - did you pay for them - no!
So, be lucky! If you are not lucky with ProppFrexx...fine!

I just tried to explain how the "VO: End with Ramp of Next Track" is working (exactly as you described it above in your post)!
Not good enough...? Now I go home and might take a look tomorrow...

I have easy answers to all of your comments but I don't want to fight with you anymore.
But if you want my answers I 'll post them.

Let's now concentrate on the subject.

1) Track Insert Transitions are only supported within Playlists (as individual tracks), but not by the overlay player (or embedded containers)!

2) Please send me your script file as well as the related audio file to try to reproduce that here.
I just made some tests here, but all those transitions have all been successful !
Maybe your RAMP position is not 'far' away from the beginning to fully play the Jingle?
As in this case it would try to insert it within the previous track...but if that is also too short...
E.g. if your RAMP position is at 3 sec.; but your Jingle is 7 sec. long and your previous track is only 1 sec. long?

 you took your time and you fixed it.
I tried before updating to v.30 and the result was this :
20141216 1.jpg
20141216 1.jpg (76.44 KiB) Viewed 8220 times
After updating to v.30 :
20141216 2.png
20141216 2.png (21.77 KiB) Viewed 8220 times
Although I got very stressed with this problem, I can only thank you for fixing it.

Just now I updated my onair pc and let it play the overlay.
My script has 3 lines:
1. Time announce.
2. voice promo (set as VO: End with Ramp of next track)
3. sound bed

The result was:
1. time announce
2. voice promo (dry)
3. voice promo over sound bed. (This is what it should play only. Not 2.)

It played 2 times the voice promo :(

Yes, that is right you should concentrate on the subject!

As promised, I took a look to supporting 'Track-Insert-Transitions' also for embedded containers/overlays:
It is added to the v3.0.14.30.
...as you tend to say: Be happy now!

For the rest please try it out. In my tests all worked out as it should be, if you find anything different, please post your detailed results..

Are you telling me, that the same worked fine on your test PC, but behaves differently on your OnAir-PC (all with exactly the same settings)?

May be you have configured something differently? - how should I know?
I have again no idea what you have configured in detail, what you script, your overlay, your media lib etc. looks like exactly...
From what you are saying and from looking to the source code, it is pretty much impossible, that the same track is played twice just by applying the track insert transition...(if we are still testing the same thing and noting else around has changed?!)

Like always: Please send me your overlay settings, your script file(s) as well as all the related audio file(s) to try to reproduce that here.
I tested it here several times and all works as expected, so I can not find any errors. That's why I believe the mistake might be on your side, but I am never sure about this, that's why I need your data and settings...

I just spend another 2 hours of testing...I created over 200 different embedded containers/overlays (using a 3 line script as yours) out of 10 random time announcements, 20 voice overs and 30 sound beds...using different mixing settings, segues, ramp times and durations...

ALL have been created correctly. In all cases a track (e.g. voice over) was NEVER played twice!

So I really must believe it was your data/setting/tracks causing the trouble...
Maybe you have accidentally saved a track insert transition already to a file, so that it played twice due to this...hard to guess(timate)!

I am telling you that when I inserted this script into playlist using add... etc. it played fine.
But it did not play fine when it played with overlay.

I am sending you the files you need.
Note that these are not all my files because I can't send you ALL my audio files.

So you never tested that on your Test-PC beforehand, but only on the OnAir-PC live! - I understand.

Note, that in my tests, as I mentioned above, I always tested overlays and embedded containers and that in NO scenario a track was played twice!
So lets see, if I find anything in your files...

In the meantime you tight also perform some tests on your Test-PC to see if you can clearly reproduce that there.
And if yes, you can send me exactly those files involved.
