Third parallel overlay fades out

Post by hdradio »

I have scheduled a third overlay to play in parallel with first two.
One is TimeAnnounce overlay (priority 1)
Second is a Commercials overlay (priority 3).
Third (this is the new one) is an overlay that plays as script (a jingle track from a playlist media library) (priority 6)
I can't find why, but whatever settings I have tried, the last overlay (jingle) plays 3-4 secs and then fades out to the playlist.

Any help what setting can cause this ?

Hard to say, but...

First take a look to the media entry itself...(e.g. play the same item in a new and empty playlist to reproduce the issue yourself):
- does it have any cue-points set?
- does the media lib playlist in which the item is defined have any cue-points set?
- does the file have a .pfmd file assigned (in which any cue-points are set?)

Then take a look to your Mixing Settings (general settings, section 'Mixing/Fading'):
- have you used ACPD with the 'Overlay Player'?
Then open the 'Mixing per Media Type...' settings and select your entry type (e.g. 'Jingle')...
- have you set anything under 'Special Mixing Setting', e.g. 'Limit Segue to/Segue Length'?
- have you set a 'Max. Play Length'?
- or Automatic Track-Insert-Transition...

And is this happening with ALL the tracks in your playlist media library? or only with a few?

I have set cue-points to all the files.
The ACPD in Overlay player was not set. I set it but the result is the same.
In special mixing settings Limit Seque is not checked nor the Max Play Length.
And yes this is happening in ALL the tracks of my playlist library.
The strange is that the last overlay fades out BEFORE the overlay counter reaches zero.

Are any of your tracks you play within the overlay (any track loaded by any of your three overlays) might get physically replaced between the time they are loaded and then finally played?
(i.e. so that the calculated segues change in between, because the physical files do change 'under the hood')?
Or did the Jingles files changed after you defined the cue-points in your playlist; so that the cue-point positionss didn't match the files anymore?

And are the Jingles of that media lib do also end early when you play them manually e.g. in a new and empty playlist window?

From what you say, it sounds, like the files do end prematurely ... please send me on of your audio files - plus the related .pfp playlist of your media lib to take a look at.

Not any file is replaced between the time they are loaded and then finally played.
When I load the playlist lib and play the files, they play correctly.

I 've sent you the playlist lib and one file.

Here they also play just fine without any issue.
When you load just the 3rd overlay as a single overlay (using the playlist media lib, and not combining it with other parallel overlays) is it then playing correctly?

I think I 've found the issue.
When I created the script, I don't know why... it has set Automatic Track Insert Transition to VO: End with Ramp of next track.
I 'd never set that option initially.

Thanks for your time and sorry for bothering you.
