Password Missing
Password Missing
Hello There,
I've a very strange problem with PFOA is that when i was trying to lock my program with a password and pressed the lock key and entered the default password "ProppFrexx" but it didn't log back in, I've tried many times to enter the password but in vain now I've ended the program Task from the task manager and reopened PFOR a log in message appears when entering the default password also it doesn't log in, note that i didn't change the default password for the default user "Admin"
What should i do to log in back to the program?
if i did uninstall PFOA and re install it i won't find my system back specially that i didn't make any backup for it.
Please Help!!!
Thanks

Re: Password Missing
It sounds that you might have activated 'UAC' within ProppFrexx ONAIR - see general settings, section 'More Stuff', 'User Access Control', 'Enable UAC'.
a) try an empty password
b) if nothing helps do the following:
- locate the "ProppFrexx ONAIR.config" file (located in the ProppFrexx AppDataUser folder, e.g. C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\radio42\ProppFrexx ONAIR\3.0)
- open the file with a text editor
- within the file locate the section called GENERAL (<GENERAL>)
- in that section locate the following entry and make sure it look like this (the value should be set to False)
<add key="UACEnabled" value="False" />
- in that section locate the following entry and delete it
<add key="MasterPassword" value="UAByAG8AcABwAEYAcgBlAHgAeAA=" />
- save the file and restart PFOA

Re: Password Missing
I tried this the reverse way.
I want UAC (had it for some time till I did something or so). Now I am logged in as admin, but can't log off,
change user or add user. Also this(reversed) trick didn't help.
I'm not shure about my password, but only when I type what I think it was the window "log in" disappears.
Still I can't change anything, as told above....
I would be very happy to add an user again. As it is now it works fine, but I want some things to be blocked.
Have I been foolish again??

Re: Password Missing
I am sorry, but I don't understand what your issue is?
What Edition have you licensed?
Have you lost your Admin password?
Can you try to explain your problem again?

Re: Password Missing
Hi Bernd,
I'm using Edition : PREMIUM
There was a time I could install user aside the Admin account. In those days I made a new password.
See the above.
Greetings, Aad

Re: Password Missing
No, the Premium Edition never contained UAC.
So if you did that by manipulating a config file manually this is your own risk.
But UAC was ALWAYS only available in the Enterprise Edition.
However, I still do not understand your problem.

Re: Password Missing
Well, that explains.....
Maybe I used UAC in the demo mode, and reinstalled after purchase? I'm not shure.
But that's not my problem. I just wanted to block some parts for the " normal user" . That's it.
If this option isn't in my edition, it ends. Maybe I should think of upgrading to Enterprise....
So problem solved, I guess.
