Re reading tracks
Re reading tracks
Hello
I noticed that often all my libraries are scanned completely again. It takes a lot of time, and i don't know why it is doing that.
When i look at the busy indicator and clicking it, i see that about 68000 record are being read.
It allready did, and after a long time it is finished . Then a couple of weeks it goed OK and then suddenly it is going to scan all the tracks all over again.
Question: What can this be, and what is the best practice?
Thanx

Re: Re reading tracks
Have you maybe set the automatic rescan option in the general settings?
Else than that there is no automatic rescan, except, if the _synced_.pfp file for folder based media libs gets somehow deleted - but that must then be an external event/issue, as ProppFrexx wouldn't delete this file automatically.
Or someone sends manually a rescan control-command to ProppFrexx
Can this be the cause?
Which version are you running?

I use version 4.0.0.39 32-bits.
Is it the setting in general-----Folder/libraries------Folder based libraries and the disable "Rescan at Startup"?

Re: Re reading tracks
Yes that is one option which should be disabled if it is already enabled in your case.
Also disable the Rescan option with the automatic library reloading, if enabled.
