radionomy (Advert:-Advert) tag

Post by moogwill »

As I said in a previous topic I had a problem with a script that I use to start radionomy commercial break. I did some dedicated scripts to play one or more files during 2mn (the regular radionomy adbreaks lenght), and in the overlay scheduler I'm running this script "soft time" at "h+xx & h+yy" finally it works, exactly as expected.
I Had some trouble when playing previously voicetracked sessions that was not correctly tagging this script when played.

It wasn't a real problem since radionomy wasn't using my breaks to play their ads. but suddendly this morning they started playing commercials on my program. and it worked perfectly on usual auto genrated playlist.
I'm worrying about my next voicetracked session. To avoid trouble I get back to my scripts selecting each lines with the option "suppress song tittle update" and I kept the suse overlay descrition as tag" with the correct syntax (Advert:-Advert). I will do a voice tracked session this afternoon to check if it works like this. If someone (Bernd or maybe a proppfrexx user using radionomy) had this kind of trouble before, just let me know what is the correct way.

If my trick is working, or not, I will update this topic tonight.

Thanks

T.

Yes, I am currently working on a new version, where the overlay's placed inside the playlist will actually follow the exact same rule as if they would have been played via the overlay.
Meaning your overlay songtitle update setting's will also be considered for embedded overlay items within the playlist.

does it means that my little trick wont work?
If it was the case, I'll ad some manually tagged track in my session to be certain that ads will be played as it should.

thanks for your fast feedback, as always.

No, the "suppress song tittle update" for those lines might actually work.

I just wanted to let you know, that I also add the other feature to the product anyhow.

Hi all,
So i did it today..

And It didn't work.

The tag is still wrong.
as you can see in Bernd Previous answer, this little problem will be solved in the next update.

Radionomy users, how are you dealing with this??? I'm surprised that no one ever asked about the advert tag overlay problem on this board...

Thanks,
T.

Yes!!!! you made it.

My embeded overlay script started radionomy advert ;) right as it was supposed to be. one small thing is still strange, it keeps sending a tag for each file of the script(but it's the right one).. it not a big deal, it doesn't affect the radionomy adbreak.

In the general settings, section 'Streaming' you'll find the 'Streaming Options' - in here you can select the 'Use Embedded Container Tracks' option.
If you have enabled that option then there will be a song title update per individual track contained within an embedded container.
As such, simply deselect that option to only update the song title once per container.
