file over soundbed, is mixing too early without any next point.

Post by moogwill »

to fill the gaps of the 2mn adverts breaks of radionomy, wusing the overlay scheduler, I'm using some 2mn cutted audio songs or some different announcements playing over a soundbed for 2mn. sometimes (I don't know exactly why) everything goes fine for a few seconds, and then suddendly the next song starts over the soundbed and the announcement.

here's a screen cap of my script.

Thanks,

Hi bernd,

Where can I enable/disable overlay ACPD?
I need the complete file to be played if transition comes before 2 mn the program will play before the end of the adbreak.
I'm not in front of the software at this time, I will have a closer look tonight.

Thanks,
Thomas.

In the general settings section Mixing.

You might also set the scriptline option: SuppressACPD and RemoveAllCuePoinrs

I am not fully sure what you want to achieve, but the script's file define what is being played (in terms of duration) and the sound bed track will only follow these tracks.
I also don't know if you have enabled ACPD for the Overlay Player?

Hi Bernd, and others ;)

I'm still stuck with this overlay problem

I finally erased all the scripts I did before, to start from fresh.

Here's the description:
twice an hour theres an overlay of 2mn

Let's call them A, B, C

A: is made of a script playing a 2 mn song (sequential from a dedicated library folder)
B: are made of a script playing 2 files: a weather annoncement 1mn(playing on a soundbed) + a 1mn hitmix
C: is made of many different 2mn anouncements(in a dedicated folder) playing over a 2mn soundbed.

for every files from all those scripts, "suppress ACPD" and "clear all cue points" are selected.

the problem is not recurrent for all overlays.

For example a few minutes ago, The overlay shows up it was a "C"

the 2mn long embeded file in the overlay was only 2 seconds
the overlay starts and the program is starting again (probably 2 seconds after it starts I suppose) then was the overlay playing on the soundbeb, and the program at the same time (a complete mess)

there's another strange thing I discovered recently:
the 2 mn anouncements are all in the same library folder. when I PFL those files from the file explorer in proppfrexx some are playing alone, and others are playing over the dedicated soundbed...
After a quick verification of those files via the window media player, all those announcements are all the same... no one is recorded over a soundbed.... did I miss something??

Thanks,
T.

there's a 2 mn overlay twice an hour, but there's some different scripts at different time of the day.
2 overlays, but 3 different kind of scripts are used.

I just finally got it, when I opened media lib as a playlist file. some files wasn't correctly tagged, one of those was 02 sec long ;) . the strange thing is that I don't remember anything I did that could have lead me to this mistake.
And by the way, you were right some of those tracks was using the automatic soundbed option from there.

Thanks.

unfortunately it doesn't change the result...
I'm sending you a zip file in the next minutes with the requested elements..

this drives me crazy...

Sorry to bother you with this for so much time now.

The only way (I can think of) 'how' this can happen is, that an automatic playlist was created via a script and you then started to 'TAG-Edit' on those 'playlist tracks' to which the script's soundbed option was applied and then you saved those meta data to the audio file's TAG explicitly.

You might prevent to save any soundbed option (or any other event entries in general), by not selecting the 'EventEntries' in the general settings, section 'Meta Data/WaveForm' in the 'What MetaData to Save' property.
This however would mean, that you can never save any event entries to a audio files TAG or .pfmd file!
But maybe this is fine for you...
