migrate from x86 to x64
migrate from x86 to x64
Hi all,
I'm just about to migrate from a x86 laptop to an x64 computer... what do I need to know to make this easy.
Thanks,
T.

Re: migrate from x86 to x64
I assume you want to run the x64 version of PF on the new system. If yes you need to install the 64bit version as a new install, your current version is a 32bit version.
But you can migrate your old configuration data, assuming you are using the same drive mappings.
To do that you can first copy your entire ProppFrexx config data which might mostly be contained in your AppUserData folder. Then all your media libs, .pfs script files, your scheduler calendar, your adver storage path (if used) and all your audio files.
Alternatively you might also use he Backup and Restore tool in the Tools ribbon tab, but that also requires all drives and paths to be identical on both machines.

Doesn't sound like a ProppFrexx question?

Thanks, seems everyhting is at the right place except the main scheduler.
overlays, scripts, and librairies... all is working.. just need to find the original scheduler to copy it at the wanted folder
