Same artist back to back - History check
Re: Same artist back to back - History check
And one last question - can you also post an example script, especially the script-lines the duplicates are derived from and how many tracks are contained in the related media lib resp. (if you are using filters) how many tracks roughly are matching the filter?

Re: Same artist back to back - History check
Is it really the exact same physical song from the exact same media lib?
That would be very strange, as this could potentially not be the case, as a played track would always update it's entry statistic.
Except your entry statistic gets somehow overwritten by another ProppFrexx instance or is corrupt?!
Same by the way would explain a history error (if your history file gets overwritten, is corrupt or cannot be accessed)?!
The entry statistic file is located in your ProppFrexx AppUserData folder and has the extension ".entrystats".
Note, that for Remote Media Libs the statistic file is maintained by the Media Library Server and as such is saved in its AppUserData folder.
The song history files do have the extension ".xspf" and are contained in the 'history' sub-folder of the AppUserData folder.
The above exception is also a bit weird and can actually only happen, in case the playlist's current program or script doesn't exist anymore, which normally cannot really happen.
All looks really a bit weird an somehow indicates, that something is not really okay.
I need time to investigate what is happening in you case...

Re: Same artist back to back - History check
I think I found an issue in relation with the MLS and the meta data transfer...
So a v4.0.1.24 is available!
Let me know, if that fixes the issue.

Re: Same artist back to back - History check
The above debug log files do not exist anymore, I cannot download them?
Also make sure, that it was/is a debug log in which a duplicate happend (at best tell me which Artist that was and roughly at what time it happened and even better, if the .pfs script is attached as well to double check.

Re: Same artist back to back - History check
Bernd, there is still a problem.
It doesn't play artists back to back but it doesn't keep the last played time correctly.
Look at the screenshots.
Keep in mind that I updated to v4.0.1.24 yesterday night.

Re: Same artist back to back - History check
Yes, that might be related, as the 'Artist' was not transmitted correctly, the entry statistic might also have been going wrong in the same way - using an entry in the stats 'without' the artist... so just wait one or two days and the stats should be from now on fine again...

Re: Same artist back to back - History check
The problem is not at the statistics.
The real problem is that the song repeats too often.
