Time in Upcoming Overlays

Hi Bernd,

A question about the time visible in the Upcoming Overlays pop up. It shows me some times :

Let's look at the last overlay. It's an end at, ending at 59.52. It's length is 1.28.
It showed up at 54.52, but I can't understand what the 11:57:30 means. It's not the start time (that was 11.58.24), it's not the time it showed the overlay, so, where does that time come from ? As you can see in the first line, it's the same every hour. At 11:00 the NKFM-A Overlay was only 28 seconds.

The overlays play just like I want them, so no problem on that part, but I'm just wondering :)

What is the EffectivePlaytime of your track?
The effective playtime is taking CueIn, Next and CueOut into account!

Hi Bernd,

The total length of the overlay was 1 minute 28 seconds. Started as said on 11.58.24, ended at 11.59.52 (as intended)

That does not answer my question...

However, the first time displayed is the 'estimated' EffectiveStartDateTime.
For an Advert-Slot this is calculated by trying to resolve the advert-slot into a playlist and for each resolved playlist entry the EffectivePlaytime (as described above) is being used.
E.g. your track might have a total duration of 1:28; but due to the CuzeIn, Next and CueOut points the effective playtime might be less.
This effective playtime is then subtracted from the EndsAt (start) time and being displayed.

It did indeed not answer your question completly, but as all items in that overlay had a 'cold' end where cue in is at 0.00 and next and cue out are exact at the end of the track and only the intro and outro jingle had a couple of seconds fade after the next cue 'till the CueOut, it doesn't make up for the 54 seconds difference. And the 1.28 was the effective playtime !
But, as I mentioned, it shows this time at _every_ 'ends at' overlay. Even if it has only one spot.
So, I understand how it should work, but this is rather strange, don't you think ?

I can not see/know the number of entries in your overlay (advert slot), the opener/closers etc., so I can not tell how many entry and how long they are.
I can only tell you, that the effective playtime used in the above screenshot was 2:22 (11:57:30 until 11:59:52 = 142 sec.)!

Do you have more than 1 file in the campaigns?
If yes, note, that ProppFrexx uses the Average-Duration of all these tracks (as it can not know in advance which one will be taken, e.g. because you specified the 'Random' mode for the campaign's tracks).

Hi Bernd,

Campaigns are using only one file each, no average calculation needed on that end.
The 12:00:00 Overlay consisted out of 5 elements, opener, 3 spots (15 to 20 secs each), closer. The 11:00 Overlay (which had the same effective playtime according to PF) consisted out of 3 elements, opener, 1 spot (20 sec) , closer. So, I still don't really get why it thinks both overlays had to start at 57.30. I'll do some more testing & try to figure out why.
