Exclude Event Filter

Hello Bernd,

Maybe a bug report.

It's about the exclude event filter in general settings, I wanna make a playlist file only with Music
NOT with jingles and all the other event type.
I have set exclude event filter that music files is aloud.
Now I see in the playlist file that it's still giving my jingles true on my playlist file.
I have set the jingles correctly in Proppfrexx tag editor-track data-type.

I run with version V3.0.15.5

Okay! That's clear for me.

It have worked before, I thought it was the version. Sorry!

I use Music 1 to schedule my music and jingle format, and than import it in program scheduler.
So how can I do it?, I don't use any media libaries.

When you use Music1 to schedule resp. create your playlists - then you should not include the Jingles there!
When importing a Music1 log file into the ProppFrexx program scheduler a related .pfp playlist file is created containing exactly the files given in the Music1 log file.
So if you scheduler Jingles within Music1 - those Jingles are of course also present in the imported playlist.

And if you do not want to play any Jingles, then your Music1 log file shouldn't contain any
These is no and was never an extra filter available to exclude certain files from a Music1 log import.

This is not a bug!
The "Exclude" Event Filter (in the general settings, section 'Event/Commands') simply has a totally different meaning! It does not control what type of files are allowed within a playlist! It 'only' controls for which event types the above control-commands should NOT be executed.

The content of a playlist is purely controlled by the script you are using (if you are using one!).
If you do not want Jingles, simply do not schedule them via your script or define an appropriate 'Filter' within your script-line (e.g. see here viewtopic.php?f=9&t=9&p=11).

So how do you create your playlist today?

Anyhow, as this is not a bug, I'll move this topic to the Q&A section of the forum...

Another question:

Is this also for Now Playing for write playing file?
Let me Put it this way: Music 1 is scheduling my formats and make pfp files.

Now the playlist is playing de pfp file and i'm using a EXE_WRITE_PLAYLIST to make a now playing file for the website

This is what it's looking right now:

The jingles is also show in the playlistfile


Is this also possible to NOT see the jingle with a filter? that only the music is seen.

This is possible
Please take a look to the general settings, section 'Logging' and go to the 'Playlist Logging' group.
These settings apply when the EXE_WRITE_PLAYLIST command is used.
And here you find an "Exclude:" option - here you can select all the event types which should NOT be logged; e.g. check the 'Jingle' media entry type, if that should not be logged.

I have set it right in playlist logging group so what you have told.

Oh sorry,
I thought you where talking about the EXEC_WRITE_PLAYLIST_LOG command.
(actually there is no EXE_WRITE_PLAYLIST command)

So I guess you are in fact talking about the EXEC_WRITE_PLAYLISTFILE command?!
If that's the case, we are again talking about a different feature, and as such there is a different exclude 'Filter' being used
The Playback History Filter can be found in the general settings, section 'More Stuff', see the 'Any other stuff' group.
Here you can define the Playback History Count (size) as well as here you can define the 'Exclude:' filter; defining all media entry types which should NOT be added to the Playback History.
(Note: the EXEC_WRITE_PLAYLISTFILE command uses the Playback History to create a playlist history file based on a template).

I guess that is what you are really looking for ?!
