Input and Soundcard issues
Input and Soundcard issues
Hey guys,
this is my first post in here, but I hope to make a proper description of my problem. Because I cover live-events with my internetradio, Proppfrexx is mostly needed once a week.
First of all, when I bought my hardware and Proppfrexx in february, it all worked fine. But for a few weeks now, despite searching for solutions on the internet, there is a problem I can´t figure out. It is definitely not only a Proppfrexx problem, probably more a soundcard issue. Nevertheless I hope someone in here can help me.
Here are the symptoms:
So, important infos:
Thanks!

But for a few weeks now, despite searching for solutions on the internet, there is a problem I can´t figure out. It is definitely not only a Proppfrexx problem, probably more a soundcard issue. Nevertheless I hope someone in here can help me.
Here are the symptoms:
- Every input accepts my adjustmens at first. when i open the options window of a single input again, it shows "channel 1".
- my first two channels are microphones, so they should be mono. after accepting my adjustmens "mono channel 1" (MIC1) and "mono channel 2" (MIC2) it shows "channel 1+2" (MIC1) and "channel 2+3" (MIC2)
- at the end, only one gives me a signal, though I here both on my headphones (which get there signal from an output of the soundcard)
So, important infos:
- Soundcard: Focusrite Scarlett 18i8, all drivers are updated, set back to factory default, no differences
- PC: changed from an older Vista-run laptop to a lenovo ultrabook with windows 10. way different capacitys, same result.
- proppfrexx: current update
Thanks!

Re: Input and Soundcard issues
A few questions:
Where did you connect your Mics (at the front or back panel)?
How did you configure the MIC1 and MIC2 Mixer Input Channels within ProppFrexx?
- Did you check the 'Mono' checkbox option for each mixer channel?
- and then selected 'channel 1' for the MIC1 resp. 'channel 2' for MIC2 as the "Channel Pair" option?
(note, that the description might still show 'channel 1 + channel 2', but if the 'Mono' checkbox is ticked, that first displayed channel is only used!)
Once configured, you might also want to make a right-click on each mixer chnnel name and then select the 'Standard Mono' - 'Processing' option from the context menu.
If all that doesn't help, I am afraid you need to ask Focusrite, if their ASIO driver really supports single mono input channel operations.
