Hi Bernd,

I 'prepare' my FLAC files in an external tag editor (artist, title, year, album and album cover).

When I open the folder with my FLAC files, the ProppFrexx Meta Data Editor does not read automaticaly the tags. It is possible to selected a group of files and use ctrl+alt+T, then, I see the details.
I played with the options (settings & options/tagging/tag reading & writing), I checked and unchecked every combination of the 4 options in the left column, including closing the Meta Data Editor or refreshing after every change.

The problem began after a re-install of ProppFrexx, even with a manual delete of the folders in C:/users/name/AppData/....?

I hope you can give me a hint? Thanks in advance.

The ProppFrexx Meta Data Editor does not automatically refresh its view resp. does not automatically re-read the file’s TAG data when you change them outside with a 3rd party tool! This has always been the case.
Is that your issue?
TAG data is only read in initially?
Another issue you are facing might also be, that you once have written the TAG data to a .pfmd file (which is saved along the audio file). If you did that the TAG data is changed outside with a 3rd party tool, the files TAG data and the meta data stored in the .pfmd file got out-of-sync.
I suggest not to do this.
Note, that the .pfmd files are not stored in the config folder. As such does removing the config folder not change anything.
You might need to delete those .pfmd files manually.

2 weeks ago, there was not a single problem reading Tag data or Meta Data (via .pfmd) Every folder I opened, ProppFrexx Meta Data Editor could read al the information (artist, title, cue in, endpoint, cue out, score, etc)
Since the re-install of Propfrexx, Meta Data Editor can only read the lenght of a track and the bpm.

So I am able to re-read all of the desired meta data via ctrl+alt+t

My problem is, can I let the Editor do it automatically? I used some options butt it won't work...

Then there must be something else.
I did not change the Meta Data Editor since years!

So if it was working fine, something else must have been changed.

Have you maybe created .pfmd files via ProppFrexx ONAIR?
If yes, do they exist? If yes, delete them.
If you never use them, even disable the ‚Use Meta Data Files (.pfmd)‘ Option.

In the first row only enable the options ‚Perform TAG reading in Background’ and ‘Read TAG when Track becomes visible’.

Thanks for the answers.
So I enabled 'Perform TAG reading in Background' and 'read TAG when Track becomes visible'. This is the result:

As you can see, we are getting ahead: in a random folder with every FLAC file having the same tag field, some of them are read-in and some are not.

Funny is now, the Editor refuses to read all of the metadata at some files, although they are all equal.

BTW, in your reply, the last word is missing, I am curious what to enable ?

Can you send a few sample files with which you have issues, as I can’t reproduce here.
Also, did you check the .pfmd files, note, they might be hidden. Are those existing?

And if all of those ‘other’ files don’t show anything and looking at the screenshots, it looks, like they don’t contain proper VORBIS tags?

I have deleted all of the folders in Users/name/appData/roaming/raido42/ProppFrexx Tagger.
The problem is solved, the only thing I had to do was do an initial setup.

Glad it is solved.
When you delete the mentioned config folder, all settings will be restored to the default value.
E.g. the ‚Use Meta Data Files (.pfmd)‘ option would be disabled. So maybe this was indeed your issue.
