problem audio routing

Post by radioaad »

Dear Bernd,

After installing ProppFrexx there are some problems.
Everything is working fine but the sound routing goes wrong. Testing in Windows it’s all fine.
My soundcard is a Berhinger FCA610 external. Windows 7 pro.
What’s happening? Some output channels are fine, some not. I want 3 outputs for my external mixer.
Player 1 is fine, plays on output 1.
Player 2 is half fine, plays on output 2 and 1.
Player 3 is dead, no sound on any output. Also not after changing settings.
What am I doing wrong? Is is a setting, software, …?

Thanks for the help!

That is for sure just a settings issue!
So you have defined 4 mixer output channels (lijn1, lijn2, lijn3 and xxxx).
What are the settings per mixer channel? (double-click on each mixer channel name to open the related config dialog)!

E.g. when something plays on 2 outputs, make sure, that you haven't activated either the SND function NOR the 'Copy To' option in the configuration.
E.g. when something doesn't play at all, make sure you really selected the correct soundcard device/channel combo AND you did not accidentally MUTE the channel.

The easiest way would be to let me double check this via TeamViewer! Might only be a few seconds...
If you want this, just let me know or end me an PM with your details, we might do it right tomorrow morning or later this evening!

After a TeamViewer session we figured, that it was exactly as assumed in my post above:
- the SND function was active on lijn2 and send the signal to lijn1; and as thus it was playing on both channels ;-)
- and lijn3 was MUTED ;-)
